The 2nd day of the Taiwan trip

•  The Palace Museum   ––––––>    •  Lunch at Ssan-si-tang() Tea House   ––––––>    •  Tamshui  ––––––>   •  Shilin night market (士林夜市)

The red line at Zhong-san MRT station.  We will get on this train takes us to The Palace Museum.

The Palace Museum thoroughly prohibits tourists from taking pictures inside, so I have no picture of the articles in the museum.   It took about two hours to take a look even just highlights of the treasures.  I was so impressed by a tremendous range of the collection and how to preserve them in such a good condition for the ages.  At any rate, it is totally worth while spending time to appreciate the extraordinary Chinese antiquities.

After a short tour of the museum, Darrin and I walked up to Ssan-Si-Tang, the tea house at the fourth floor in the museum in order to have a light lunch.  We tried a couple of dim-sums with a Chinese tea, and a beef noodle.  Wow, it was the best beef noodle ever had.  Once I finished it, I realized.. Oh no, I should take picture of it!

On the sunny side of the restaurant people enjoyed chatting having a cup of tea.

We got out of the museum and I took a good shot of Darrin against the main building.  (Hi~, nun! I could see the one of nuns sitting next to us at the tea house on the background.  She looked so happy as well ^.^)

Darrin and me before getting into the small souvenir shop near the entrance of the museum.

With the performer at the park in Tamshui.  He was so good.
ps. The dog is not a real though.^^

We arrived at Tamshui, the outskirts of Taipei in the late afternoon.  Tamshui is one of the seaside villages where only takes around 30 mins by train from the downtown of Taipei, therefore it was quite crowded on weekend with lots of people going picnic, fishing, dating and etc.

We got some coins for fun.

If someone ask me, 'what's the best part of the Taiwan trip?'
Well, for one thing, you can see the snack bars making a fresh food on the spot wherever you go.  Needless to say, most of them were so tasty!!!

Oxford college in Tamshui

The visitor center of the college was operated by the students sell some beverages and snacks for visitors.

We walked about some alley ways to get closer to look around the local people and their life.

When we were there, even though in late September, the temperature would go up to 32Cº during day time.   This little shop displayed a wide verity of ice fruit juices to pick.

This is the pork dumpling, one of the new snacks we tried at the outdoor market in Tamshui and Darrin's favorite as well.

We are taking another type of massage for the head and neck. (Tapping hard on the head and neck for only 7 minutes)

Darrin trying a deep fried chicken at the outdoor market and the girl passing by him had a look at him curiously.
