extreme realism_ Museum Ludwig, Colonge

Untitled_ John De Andrea
(hyper-realist sculpture)

it was on display in the very corner of the museum Ludwig B1, directly linked to the stairs from the entrance.   walking down the stairs, the closer to the object, more difficult to tell it's real or false.  it is such a perfect match of realism and beauty.  i kept waiting for the two start breathing.

how could u be so lovely?

The Tea_(1916). Pierre Bonnard

i feel at ease and happy as i gaze at his paintings, instead of using highly skillful brush stroke, a little bit childlike unsophisticated touch in a very honest composition.  i would just like to jump into his canvas and have some tea with them in a soft and drowsy feeling.

The Window(1925)_ Pierre Bonnard
in Tate Modern Gallery. London

i got stuck into this painting in Tate for a while , thinking of myself,
"how could you be so lovely, huh?"

dvds from Italy

as you can see, i am a big fan of the italian movie director, Nanni Moretti.
i was so happy to find these film dvds at la feltrinelli store in Rome and would almost jumped up to the air, yay!!(even the store has a special dvd corner for him, titled Nanni Moretti collection).

  • the son's room(2001)_ directed by nanni moretti
  • april(1998)_ directed by nanni moretti
  • quiet chaos(2008)_ directed by antonello grimaldi, cast_nanni moretti
  • professione: reporter(1975)_directed by michelangelo antonioni (i found myself first to attract to Jack Nicholson in this movie, wow! i surprisingly realized he could be cool and sexy)

    hand-made clay dolls

yah, those are what i made recently. i mainly use a paper clay for their face, body structure and dress, and acrylic paint for a pattern on their outfit.
