Sunday Brunch at PS Cafe (Feb/2/2013)

Darrin and I have been recently trying new dining experience more often in Singapore, as we may leave this country much sooner than we thought.   During last Chinese New Year, we went down to China Town for our Sunday brunch.

Fancy Chinese New Year Deco

We could tell easily somebody made a huge effort to make China Town look more attractive with a magnificent festive mood.

On the way to the Restaurant

We walked by the conservation area where it has most of the original architecture in town.

PS Cafe

#02-02. 45 Ann Siang Road

Ever since Julie had introduced this restaurant, we procrastinated on visiting here for so long due to its inconvenient location which is not easy access from our place.   All dishes we ordered were great and it was absolutely worth trying despite inconvenience to get there.

With our old friends in KL

Guen-hye visited to Kuala Lumpur from China while Darrin and I were there.  It's been so long since we met her a couple of years ago.  She was so bubbly and chatty as usual, which was great!  We had a delightful lunch at Dragon-i Restaurant, Pavilion.

Afternoon Tea at TWG

Dinner with Jeeva's family at Chili, Bangsr Shopping Centre

We met Jeeva's family for the first time in about two years.  Many things have been changed in his family for such a short period time.  As Sathia's mom all of sudden passed away last year, her dad inevitably left his old house in Lucky Garden to stay with his daughter's family.  Baradin entered one of the colleges in San Diego, US, which he just finished the first semester of his freshman year.  Priyanka recently got a driving licence so that she seemed so proud of herself to become a self-driver.  Lastly, to my surprise, Navin grew into a polite and well-behaved big boy.  A mischievous little boy was nowhere to be seen.

We ordered many dishes to share, including fresh raw oysters which is my favorite.  Food was awesome here as usual.  I will NEVER get tired of it!

Yay~,  Food coming!

The menu changes regularly, which is all written in French.  (_;)  Luckily, there were ladies sitting right next to us that helped pick the dishes for us.  I wish I could speak a little bit of French.

We headed out to Chaussee d'Antin Metro station to go to the Gallery Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann.

Fancy Christmas tree at central hall in Lafayette

According to the travel book, Lafayette was opened in 1895 and it now has 75,000 different brands in store.

One of my favorite perfumes, Maison Francis Kurkdjian

The special edition cost as much as 950 euro per one bottle (500ml) was displayed, wow!
