sewing dress

this linen fabric is one of my favorites which is very soft and feminine.  i bought it in Thailand about a year ago, yet didn't use it so far, since i couldn't figure what is the best for.  initially i thought about making a little cushion of the sofa, but i ended up making another summer dress for me.  i am kind of a dress-crazy person, ha ha.^

rainy night in Rome

it angrily stormed in Piazza Navona all of a sudden.  all crowd in the street disappeared into somewhere so fast. the square turned to be the most somber ever.  darrin and i luckily bought one small instant umbrella from the stallholder to share and walked through the rainy town to town to get the hotel.  it was another long day, pewww~.^

black / white nuns in Rome

darrin and i walked through St. Peter's Square to get the place we stayed e-v-e-r-y night.  we really enjoyed walking this area, especially at night time having a nice and cool breeze, plus with enough holy water from the fountain built in the square.  like us many people lingered around very late at night 11:00pm(closing time).  we used to sit on the ground to have chitchat and sometimes imagined for fun the Pope comes out for a walk and say hello or wave his hand to us with his big smile.

surprising gift from pohyoke

surprising gift from pohyoke

she came to my house with the pretty orchid.
her warm heart is much prettier than this flower.

^-^

afternoon chitchat

pohyoke and her lovely daughter, sook ning are having the typical chinese desserts after the korean dishes for lunch.  we went there quite late afternoon.  the restaurant was pretty empty and quiet, which was good for us.^^  we randomly ordered the four different flavor of the sweet pastes and the rice cake balls.  all of them is sooo tasty.

afternoon chitchat with a good friend and a sweet yummy food?
it's absolutely the big big part of my happiness.

my favorite was the green tea mixed with the red bean paste in front.

my photogenic house

in recent days i can't do much at home, cuz i am not feeling well.  i can only do is just reading some books sitting on the sofa(even no energy for a walk). weather today is so bright and lovely, yet i can't do much. -_-;;  i just picked up my camera and looked around to take picture of my house. i realized i've been living here almost for 3years, wow!

how could u be so lovely?

The Tea_(1916). Pierre Bonnard

i feel at ease and happy as i gaze at his paintings, instead of using highly skillful brush stroke, a little bit childlike unsophisticated touch in a very honest composition.  i would just like to jump into his canvas and have some tea with them in a soft and drowsy feeling.

The Window(1925)_ Pierre Bonnard

i got stuck into this painting in Tate for a while , thinking of myself,
"how could you be so lovely, huh?"

with a full of pink mood in the garden

trimming day

the biggest coconut tree in the side yard is densely growing, making a full of shade. darrin, today, trimmed it nicely, now i got the full view of the bright blue sky from my work room, ha. ^6^/

musicians on the street

i just simply wonder where they live, what kind of friends they have, where they go for drinks, what they dream about, what they mostly think of while they play music.  i just simply hope that they're happy at least while they're playing it.

baggy tanned color vs. girlish pink short

american guy vs. european guy

darrin's not gonna be happy in the pinkish tight short. i still remember very vividly when i first bought the pink necktie for him. with a very puzzled look, he said, "wow, a PINK tie for me??"
actually, he looks really good on a bright colored clothes.

army girl, Miyong

Miyong with her colleagues_ Fort Sam Houston. TX.

hooray, miyong finally joined US army. she is in the military boot camp for the training course before she moves to her military base in south Georgia. she told me she learned how to use a gun last week, um.. she always loves learning something new. i bet she will be very charming and brave military officer.^-^/

batik printed cotton mini-dress

yay, i got back to normal, drawing, cutting, sewing, modeling(^^;). this cotton fabric is also from Joann store in Tallahassee. i love the faded irregular pink pattern like a watercolor painting on the fabric.

what i got from Jo-ann

i got the new fabrics, mostly jeans recently i am keen about. Joann store in Tallahassee has pretty good selection of especially blue jeans.  in KL, it's not easy to find certain type of fabrics like wool, twill, jean, which consider to be thick and heavy.

charming color and texture in Rome. Italy

i just stopped and looked at this small alley for a long time, fully wishing time also stops in here with me. i was totally charmed with the beautiful color and texture of the small town. it reminds me of the wording of the passage written by Alain de botton in his book, the art of travel; i stopped by a red front door and felt an intense longing to spend the rest of my life there...i wanted the life that this space implied.
