In the early morning of the second day in Paris, the first thing we did was navigate around the neighborhood near Grand Hotel Francais. We heard there was one of the best bakeries very near the hotel, Le Grenior store, and hence Darrin and I were so impatient to find it and try its fresh breads as quickly as possible. Then, en route to the store, we found by chance that some big outdoor market held across the street from the bakery. Guess what! We ended up spending time half a day there.
Metro Bastille
This Metro sign was kind of the landmark around the market.
(Darrin and I still have no idea of the market name, -_-;;;)
The market opens 7:00am.
Ohhh, look at this!
All the different types of roses were stacked on the street stall.
For some reason, I thought that the rose was the national flower of France, but that's wrong. Rose is for England and Iris is regarded as the symbol of France.
I am just being jealous about somebody easily gets these high quality ingredients for cooking everyday.
A rabbit, or... ?
There were many different kinds of seafoods I've never seen before.
Kind of Cheese Paradise...!
I was so curious about the flavors of those cakes with subtle colors.

in Saint-German-des-Pres District
The buskers comprised of four old men was quite popular.

Cafe De Flore on Boulevard Saint-Germain
It's one of the oldest cafes in Paris, celebrated for its famous clients such as Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Simone de Beauvoir, and other well-known writers between 1940s and 1950s. The Prix de Flore, a literary prize, is awarded annually at this cafe.
Les Deux Magots right next to Cafe De Flore
The inside of shop was under construction when we got there.
The American great writer, Ernest Hemingway was one of the regulars of this cafe. Since 1933, the Deux Magots literary prize has been annually awarded to a French novel.
Selfie at La Duree
They say La Duree was founded in 1860s.. wow!! And it is still one of the best well-know makers of macaroons in the world.
We had one piece of Tartin Tart, four different flavors of macaroons, hot chocolate, and peppermint tea.

OMG... so adorable and sweet!
We entered the shop selling all the fabric products such as curtains, scarfs, cushion covers, pillow and blanket covers, etc. Their patterns were so lovely and unique, and all made out of 100 percent Indian cotton. I picked these two cushion covers below, now rolling on our couch.
Saint-German-des-Pres District had lots of things to see, eat, and buy as they say. We had a nice dinner at a popular restaurant, Le Relais de I'Entrocote around there. Even though the restaurant serves only one menu, a beef steak with chips and some green salad, people were willing to wait standing on line in front of the shop. Sure, we were one of them as well. (u_u)
Address: 20 Rue Saint Benoit, Paris
Toward the end of mealtime, your waitress would come by to ask if you would like to add more of steaks and chips. One time refill is free(who knew that?). Thus, Darrin got two more plates of beefs, including mine. Sure, he enjoyed it so much. ^▽^
