rest in PEACE
it badly breaks my heart from the news my life-time hero, Park Wan Seo, one of the great Korean writers passed away this morning. ahh, she always made me feel very proud of my mother tongue, Korean can be so beautiful and charming. every time i read her books, i thought to myself, 'wow, what a so grateful i can speak in the same language she does.' i luckily ran into her once while i lived in Seoul before. i was on the way home from work by the subway line no.5. she was sitting on the opposite side of me, being absorbed in reading. i couldn't believe my eyes she was right there.

around Jakarta. Indonesia
there's one of the famous schools, a so-called Obama-school between the small back streets in Menteng, Jakarta. i passed by and just had a quick chance of taking picture of the entrance.
as you see, they set up the bronze statue of a little tiny boy Obama in the middle and the figure of a big Obama in front.
the Korean restaurant with Japanese name, 牛角_ぎゅうかく. i found Jakarta has a very good selection of the food. most of the meal Darrin and i had was very very tasty and price was quite reasonable as well.

reminisce
i found this photo while i was cleaning the photo files today. i think this is the first year of the Design school, 2005. i was doing oil-pastel painting for one of my school assignment. i painted two different version, one was by the pencil(you see on the floor), the other was by the oil-pastel. it was quite fun.

a little cute window for ordering food. "済みません, ふたつ ください~."
non-smoking sign table at the coffee shop.
the dessert after eating しゃぶしゃぶ
it's very chewy and icy cold noodles dipping into the black sugar syrup.
taste was very new to me, but definitely one of my favorites. ;-)
営団地下鉄
subway route map in Tokyo is terribly busy.
this is one of the popular line, Ginza-Sen(if i remember well).
the guy grabbing the red flag seemed communicating with the driver for the safety, reminded me of the countryside train station in the olden days.
